Happy Cake Day!

Yes, I'm one. I know, holy bunny rabbits, I can hardly believe it myself! I chose to celebrate my birthday quietly with my cake, I mean, my family. We had a lovely dinner of hot dogs, my favourite! And cake - did I tell you about my cake? - chocolate cheesecake, also my favourite (and, purely coincidentally, it turns out to be Mama's as well, which is convenient). So far, I'm finding birthdays to be quite tasty. I think I'll have another next year.

Fathers' day came early for Papa Manning, as we'll be traveling next weekend. He got some great books and shirts and photos, and for some reason Mama didn't let us wake him up until 8:30, even though we were sure that he'd want to get up earlier and start celebrating with us...
