Seattle. Sun. Sensational! (Sunburn. Sorry, son!!)

87 degrees and counting, plus unevenly applied sunscreen, equals red little cheeks. Soon found that ice cream is a very effective sunburn cure. Realising my own supply was running low, I purloined Daddy's two scoop sundae. Hmmm, didn't know I knew the word 'purloin'! Ice cream must stimulate vocabulary. Must eat more.

I think someone should tell Mom and Dad what a great job they're doing making little boys!! Hope Jack's sunburn is better. I've never seen such RED CHEEKS! Alex seems to have escaped though - did he get more sunscreen?

Bubba got a bit of a sunburn too on the weekend. But it's all worth it, because now the swimming pool will be all clean and ready for Jack and Alex to go swimming some time soon!

Big pink cheeks!!

I agree with you Jack: ice cream helps!! Though it does improve one's vocabulary, it doesn't do much for spelling.

Love, Sandy

Turns out it wasn't sunburn after all - just being a bit overheated. I have inherited Mama's ridiculously rosy cheeks.

Thanks for the compliment for Mom and Dad, Bubba - they're pretty pleased with the job they're doing too!

Auntie Sandy - maybe you just haven't been eating the right ice cream to improve spelling - perhaps Ben and Jerry's Vermonty Python? Baskin and Robin's Peanut Butter Chocolate? Let's keep trying!
